Abstract: Broadcast scheduling is made to keep the audience on the screen and to increase visibility. The main purpose is based on this strategy. It is very important to plan the broadcasts to be broadcasted in a way that will increase the ratings of TV channels, improve themselves and take the institution one step further. Incorrect planning can cause the institution to react from people or institutions. All TV channels have broadcast planning strategies in their broadcasting policies to develop political, financial, or audience potential. The aim is to move the channel to a better place. This is also due to broadcast planning and the content of planned programs. This wealth, reaches the viewer through the screen. The audience is interested in information, entertainment, competition and sometimes culture and arts. The basis of broadcast planning strategies has been determined by RTÜK. Together with the rules that all TV channels must comply with, they develop plans by integrating them into their strategies. The plans are calculated over the hours when the TV viewers make the most impressions and are made to improve those sections more than other hours. However in general terms, the hours of many program content are predetermined. In other words, the hours of a political program or a cartoon are determined in advance. These are also taken into account in broadcast planning. The method may vary depending on how planning is implemented. Since Bengütürk TV is mainly broadcasting news channels, it tries to keep the audience on the screen by giving more place to news programs. This situation may change in some channels. Some channels broadcast more entertainment programs, while others may include game shows or political programs. Therefore, broadcast planning has a great importance in a TV channel for the TV channel to have a richer content network, to increase the number of viewers and to gain quality viewers and produce quality broadcasts.
