dc.description.abstract The process that started in December 2019 and was declared a common epidemic (pandemic) by the World Health Organization (WHO) because of its worldwide prevalence has affected the majority of legal relationships as well as international commercial relationships. After the WHO's announcement of a widespread epidemic, nearly every country has taken some measures to protect itself from the epidemic or to minimize the damage. The measures taken had an impact on international trade as well as on domestic commercial relations. In this context, countries closing their borders or imposing restrictions and prohibitions regarding the import-export of certain goods and/or services have raised major obstacles to parties fulfilling their obligations in international trade. It is certain that the measures taken by governments to prevent the pandemic will have effects that regard the letter of credit that is one of the most important widely used payment instruments in international trade. In our study, the accreditation effects of the said pandemic will be addressed. tr_TR
